FAQs
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
You don't pay us anything during the trial. Shopify does require a credit card on your store account to install paid apps, so the trial works on any active Shopify store with billing enabled. It won't work on development stores.
Is there a contract or commitment?
No. It's month-to-month. You can cancel anytime from your Shopify admin — no emails, no calls, no cancellation forms.
Is there a limit on products or SKUs?
No. The $29/month plan includes unlimited products, unlimited SKUs, and all features. There are no tiers or usage limits.
How does the forecasting work?
Sensible Forecasting analyzes your Shopify sales history over a period you choose (14, 30, 60, 90 days, or a weighted average) and calculates how fast each product is selling. Combined with your lead time and safety stock settings, it tells you when to reorder and how much.
Does it create purchase orders?
Sensible Forecasting doesn't create purchase orders inside Shopify. Instead, you can export your reorder recommendations as CSV or Excel and send them directly to your supplier.
How long does setup take?
Configuration takes about 5 minutes — install from the Shopify App Store and set your defaults (lead time, safety stock, days of coverage). After that, Shopify syncs your product and order data automatically. For smaller stores this happens in minutes; larger stores with many orders or variants may take up to an hour, but it's all passive — you don't need to do anything while it loads.
Will it work with my existing Shopify plan?
Yes. Sensible Forecasting works with all Shopify plans — Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus.
Can I manage multiple suppliers?
Yes. You can add multiple vendors per product and filter your reorder list by supplier, making it easy to prepare separate orders for each vendor.
What happens when the free trial ends?
When you install the app, Shopify asks you to approve the $29/month subscription upfront — but you won't be charged until the 30-day trial ends. If you cancel before the trial is over, you pay nothing.
Do you support multiple store locations?
Multi-location support is currently available as a beta feature. If you have multiple store locations, reach out to us and we'll enable it for your account.
