00:00.000 --> 00:05.000
Hi there, Mike from Sensible Tools. Let's go over the basics on how to use the forecasting app to make most of it.

00:05.000 --> 00:10.000
Open forecasting by going to product section in the sidebar.

00:10.000 --> 00:16.000
Here, you will see all your product variants sorted by their reorder date, starting from the most urgent to the least urgent.

00:16.000 --> 00:21.000
I can see that Maven Lounge Chair is already out of stock, so let's order it ASAP.

00:21.000 --> 00:25.000
Click the cart icon to open the detailed view for this product's variant.

00:25.000 --> 00:31.000
Here, we can see more detailed information about its sales, as well as having ability to add multiple suppliers and customize its lead time.

00:31.000 --> 00:35.000
Different sales periods allow us to see how the product has been selling over time.

00:35.000 --> 00:44.000
We can see that in the last 90 days, we sold four units, of which two were sold only in the last 30 days, which you can also see in the sales rate for the different periods.

00:44.000 --> 00:48.000
We can use this information to make a decision on how many units we would like to purchase.

00:48.000 --> 00:55.000
But usually, the average value at the bottom offers quite balanced estimates, regardless if the product is trending up or down.

00:55.000 --> 01:03.000
Once the product has been reordered from the supplier or put it in purchase order, we can mark it as ordered.

01:03.000 --> 01:08.000
Which moves it to the order tab so we can focus our attention to the other products.

01:08.000 --> 01:14.000
We also have the ability to snooze the products that for example, might be temporarily unavailable due to component shortages at the supplier level.

01:14.000 --> 01:22.000
In this case, we can snooze the Ethan Side Table for two weeks after which we'll inquire the supplier once again regarding its availability.

01:22.000 --> 01:27.000
When placing an order, you can also click on the vendor tag to quickly filter out all the products from this supplier.

01:27.000 --> 01:30.000
You can also export the forecasting as a CSV file.

01:30.000 --> 01:35.000
And additionally, mark all of the set products as ordered using bulk edit feature.

01:35.000 --> 01:41.000
This way, you can set the ordered quantities and be more efficient at placing larger purchase orders.

01:41.000 --> 01:47.000
This covers the basics of Sensible Forecasting to help you get started. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
